JANUARY 2012
John Passarella signed a contract to write a second original media tie-in novel based on the hit CW TV show Supernatural for a August 14, 2012 release. Supernatural: Rite of Passage will be his tenth novel.

Gary Frank's story "You Just Can't Win" will be published online at Horrorworld.org. Date to be determined.
Pat Lundrigan's story "First Light" is out at Redstone SF. They also have a short interview with Pat.
Danielle Ackley-McPhail's poem, "Portrait of a Green Mother" has been accepted for publication in the upcoming anthology Clamoring Spring, which is to be published in both print and ebook in July 2011 by Sword & Saga Press.

E. F. Watkins has published her sixth novel, One Blood, with Amber Quill Press.

Erin Hartshorn's short story "Banded Jade" was accepted by Aoife's Kiss. "Being Green" (already live on the Aurora Wolf Website) was accepted for Aurora Wolf's print anthology. The article "Writing Comfortably" (on finding a writing speed that works for you) was accepted by the e-zine Vision: A Resource for Writers, and flash fiction "Fifth World" was accepted by flashquake.
Mike D'Ambrosio's fourth novel in the four book Space Frontiers Series is due out in July from Helm Publishing and it's titled The Devil's Playground.
Eileen Watkins' ONE BLOOD, a paranormal thriller/romance, has been accepted for publication by Amber Quill Press. Release is set for Sept., 2010. This will be her sixth novel with AQP. ONE BLOOD is a prequel to her vampire thriller DANCE WITH THE DRAGON, which was published in 2003.
Jon Gibbs is pleased to announce that he had three micro-fictions accepted at www.Flashshot.com, CURSED (posted there on May 27th), SNAKE EYES, and THROUGH A CURVED LENS. His debut novel, FUR-FACE, came out as a Quake ebook from Echelon Press.
Florence Marlowe had her short story "Peanuts Inside" published in the May issue of 69 Flavors of Paranoia.

John Platt published several dozen articles in February, including his three-times-a-week "Extinction Countdown" column for Scientific American and his equally frequent "Green Tech" blog for GreenHandsUSA. He also contributed several articles to Tonic.com, and is work-ing on articles for two technology publications. John has also signed up to be an exhibiting artist at the Maine Comics Arts Festival in May, where he will be selling his mini-comics and other publications.
Bill Mingin has a story, "Right There",in the February issue of Tales of the Unanticipated.
Jon Gibbs has a story, "Wild West Justice", in the recently published The Best of Every Day Fiction (Two) Anthology.
Andrew Alford received an Honorable Mention from Ellen Datlow for his flash fiction, "A Jury of His Peers", which appeared in an issue of the online magazine, Alien Skin, last summer.
Hildy Silverman and Neil Levin, both have stories in the forthcoming in Bad Ass Fairies 3 anthology. Hildy also has a story, "Sappy Meals", in Esther Friesner?s upcoming anthology, Fangs for the Mammaries.
Ed Greaves has a story, Wishing Stone, in the current Abyss and Apex.

Peter Gutierrez had his story, "Some Sketches of Country Life", accepted for a double-anthology Magicking in Traffic/Trafficking in Magic.
Mike Penncavage won a recent monthly, photo-prompted flash fiction contest the 'Mysterious Photo Contest‘ (no title will appear in the May issue of the Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine.

Brian Pederson's short story "Traces of You" earned him an honorable mention in the March issue of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. "Traces of You" had to be exactly 250 words for AHMM's monthly Mysterious Photograph Contest.

Danielle Ackley-McPhail's The Halfing's Court: A Bad-Ass Faerie Tale (Dark Quest Books) will debut at Faeriecon, pre-Launch at Philcon, and oficially launch at at Arisia.

Ed Greaves' story "The Wishing Stone" has been accepted by Abyss and Apex, slated to appear next year.
John Passarella's latest novel, the supernatural thriller, Shimmer, is available through Amazon and his author store. Those ordering the first 20 signed copies are eligible for a prize pack drawing. a Kindle version and other eBook versions are also available.
Pat Lundrigan sold his story "How High the Moon" to Flash Fiction Online. The story should be out in a few months.

Danielle Ackley-McPhail's Tomorrow's Memories is a finalist for the 2008 Dream Realm Award in both the Best Fantasy and the Best Cover Art categories.
Jon Gibbs sold his flash fiction piece "Wild West Justice" to Every Day Fiction.

Pat Lundrigan's story "Burst Mode" won second place in the Jim Baen Memorial Writing contest.
Mike Penncavage's story "The Cost of Doing Business", from Thuglit Issue #24, won the 2009 Derringer Award for best short mystery story.
John Platt's story "Gone Fishin'" is in the new issue of Apex Magazine, the last issue before their hiatus. "Gone Fishin'" is also featured in the Monstrous anthology.

Jon Gibbs' article "Do the 'Write' Thing" is on page 16 of Manalapan Matters. Per Jon, "it's the first time I've had my name in print since I won the Record Mirror crossword puzzle back in 1981."

Carol MacAllister's story "Tattooed Dreams," was chosen to be included in "101 Best" books, representing favorites from the Chicken Soup book franchise's library of stories. "Tattooed Dreams" is included in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Happily Ever After. The story originally published in book, Chicken Soup for the Romantic Soul.
Danielle Ackley-McPhail's story " Skippy," originally published in Trails of Indescretion Magazine, has been featured at Sim-Gen as a part of their Read A Good Story, Do A Good Deed program. JG Faherty will have 2 stories published in March: 'Bones,' the tale of a man cursed with the ability to read people's deaths by touching their bones, will be in Cemetery Dance #58. And "Family First," a zombie tale of a different kind, will be in the GSHW Dark Territories anthology."

Danielle Ackley-McPhail has had one of her scifi-ku accepted by Space and Time Magazine, no indication yet of which issue it will appear in. Her science fiction poetry has also appeared in past issues of Nth Degree Magazine, as well as in the collection, Children of Morpheus (2004), and the anthology, No Longer Dreams (2005), both by Lite Circle Books. Carol MacAllister's poetry has been commended in the Battle of the Bards competition in England.
